NEW YORK, March 13, 2006 - Greenhill & Co., Inc. (NYSE: GHL), a leading independent investment bank, announced today that Jan Werner will join the firm as a Managing Director based in London. Mr. Werner will lead Greenhill`s advisory practice in the Nordic region.
Mr. Werner has advised corporates and governments in the Nordic region for the last 20 years and has led the Nordic investment banking teams at Merrill Lynch and Citigroup. He began his career as an attorney at the Swedish law firm Vinge, where he spent 7 years based in Stockholm and London.
