London, England, March 7, 2005 – Greenhill & Co., Inc. [NYSE:GHL], a leading independent investment banking firm, announced today that Peter Stott, a veteran investment banker, has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Mr. Stott will be based in Greenhill`s London office.
Mr. Stott joins Greenhill from Morgan Stanley where he had been a Managing Director and Co-Head of UK Investment Banking. He had been at Morgan Stanley since 1988. Before that, he was at The First Boston Corporation, where he was a vice president, corporate finance in their New York and London offices. Prior to that, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. Inc. in the firm`s Washington, DC office.
Mr. Stott started his business career as a lawyer, having graduated from Aberdeen University with an LL.B. degree. In 1978-80, he attended Harvard Business School, where he graduated with distinction. Robert F. Greenhill, Chairman and CEO of Greenhill, said, “We are delighted that Peter has joined the firm.
